Shower Doors

Custom Frameless & Semi-Frameless Shower Doors

Frameless shower doors are the heart of what we do. Every enclosure is custom glass, cut and fabricated to your exact opening, then finished with clamps for the cleanest frameless look. No stock overseas doors. No catalog kits. When a lighter metal edge suits the bathroom better, we build semi-frameless enclosures instead, giving you a middle option that still looks refined. In Purcellville's larger custom homes, that often means oversized panels, curbless entries, and steam-shower layouts, all measured on-site and installed by our own crew.

Custom Mirrors

Custom Mirrors for Bathrooms, Bedrooms & Home Gyms

Custom mirrors change how a room feels. We cut, polish, and install vanity mirrors, full mirrored walls, and closet pieces, plus large gym mirrors for home fitness rooms. Each mirror is measured on-site so the edges meet your wall, outlets, and fixtures cleanly, with no gaps and no off-the-shelf sizing. Purcellville's newer estate builds often pair a frameless shower with a matching wall-to-wall vanity mirror, and we handle both in the same visit. Polished edges, safe backing, and a precise fit come standard.

Glass Wine Cellars & Custom Wine Storage

Purcellville sits in the heart of DC Wine Country, so glass wine cellars are a natural fit here. We design and install glass-enclosed wine rooms that put your collection on display while sealing it off for climate control. Every wall, door, and panel is custom glass, measured to your space and installed by our own crew. Clear or low-iron glass keeps the view sharp and true to color. It turns a spare room, basement corner, or dining-room wall into a showcase your guests notice.

Glass Railings

Glass Railings & Partition Systems

Glass railings open up a staircase, loft, or deck without blocking the light or the view. We install frameless and post-supported glass railings, along with glass partition systems that divide a space while keeping rooms bright. Each panel is tempered for strength and cut to your exact run, then installed by our own crew. In Purcellville's newer open-plan homes, a glass railing keeps sightlines to the Blue Ridge intact while meeting code for height and safety.

Tabletops & Shelving

Table Tops, Shelving & Decorative Glass

Custom glass tops protect furniture and finish a room. We cut tempered or annealed glass for tables, desks, dressers, and nightstands, with polished edges and softly rounded corners. We also fabricate glass shelving and decorative pieces, including silkscreen frosted panels and grid patterns for a bespoke look you will not find in a catalog. Every top is measured to your piece, never ordered from a stock size. Purcellville homeowners often add matching glass tops when we are already on-site for a mirror or shower.

Service & Repair of Existing Shower Enclosures

Shower enclosures take daily wear, and hardware loosens over time. We service and repair existing shower doors, replacing worn hinges, handles, seals, and sweeps, and re-securing glass panels that have shifted out of alignment. If a panel is chipped or cracked, we fabricate a custom replacement to match the original. Because our glass is made to order, we handle older openings that stock parts will not fit. Purcellville's well-water homes especially benefit from fresh seals and clean, tightened hardware.

Local Expertise

Why Purcelville Homeowners Choose Enclosures Unlimited

Enclosures Unlimited is fully licensed and insured, holds a BBB A+ rating, and belongs to the Shower Door Professionals Co-Op, the National Glass Association, and the American Subcontractors Association of Metro Washington. We build only custom glass, measured on-site and installed by our own crews, with a fixed price and a straight timeline upfront. No surprises. Purcellville's wine-country estates and new custom builds want high-end frameless work, while older Main Street homes bring out-of-square openings that need made-to-measure glass. And with hard well water common out here, we help you keep that glass clear for years. The result is a shower, mirror, or wine room that fits your home and holds up.

FAQ

Custom Frameless Shower Door FAQs

Do you install custom frameless shower doors in Purcellville neighborhoods like Mayfair, Locust Grove, and Hirst Farm?

Yes, we install custom frameless shower doors throughout Purcellville, including Mayfair, Locust Grove, Hirst Farm, and the historic homes near downtown. Our own crews reach the area from our Sterling headquarters in about 25 minutes, so there is no third-party subcontractor on your project. Every enclosure is measured on-site and built to your exact opening, then installed by the same team.

Can you build a frameless enclosure for an older or out-of-square opening in a historic Purcellville home?

Yes. Older and historic Purcellville homes rarely have perfectly square shower openings, and that is exactly what custom glass is for. We template each opening on-site, measuring for walls that lean or bow by a fraction of an inch. Then we fabricate the glass to match, so the enclosure fits the real space, not a nominal size.

What's the difference between frameless and semi-frameless shower doors?

Frameless shower doors use thick tempered glass, typically 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch, with no surrounding metal frame. The glass is held by discreet clamps and hinges for a clean, open look. Semi-frameless doors use thinner glass, around 3/16 or 1/4 inch, with a light metal frame on some edges for support. Frameless costs more but looks seamless, while semi-frameless is a solid choice on a tighter budget.

How thick is the glass in a frameless shower door, and which thickness is best?

Frameless shower glass is usually 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch thick tempered glass. The 3/8 inch thickness is the most common choice for most doors and panels, balancing strength and weight. Half-inch glass suits larger panels, taller doors, and steam showers where the extra rigidity helps the door hang true. We recommend the right thickness after measuring your opening on-site.

How do I prevent hard-water spots and keep my frameless glass clear in western Loudoun's hard water?

Squeegee the glass after every shower and wipe it dry to stop minerals from settling. Western Loudoun homes often run on hard well water high in calcium and magnesium, which leaves cloudy spots on clear glass. A factory-applied protective coating makes the surface easier to clean and slows spotting between washes. Ask us about adding one during installation so your glass stays clear longer.

Every part of the service…the whole experience of dealing with Glass Enclosures from start to finish... were amazing. You all made it so easy. “Efficient, Clean, On Time, and Friendly”

Enclosures Unlimited did all the new shower door enclosures in 3 of our remolded bathrooms. Plus they just replaced a cracked window in our home. They are efficient, clean, on time, and friendly I highly recommend ENCLOSURES UNLIMITED!

“Excellent Mirrors in My Home Gym”

Excellent mirrors in my Home Gym!!! Great working with Enclosures Unlimited. The office was very professional and the project was executed on-time as planned. Excellent communication!! The install guys were very professional and completed the job quickly. The place was very clean when done.

“Very Satisfied With All Aspects”

Purchased new frameless glass shower door to replace old original. Very satisfied with all aspects including quality, price, lead time and installation. Installers were professional and meticulous in all details and cleanup. Highly recommend Enclosures Unlimited Inc.

“My Go To Shop for Custom Glass”

My go to shop for custom glass. I'm a contractor and do lots of bathrooms. Enclosures has been my glass partner for many years. They're very responsive, personable, and efficient. I've never had an issue with them, and their pricing is very competitive too. But since I'm in business, reliability is much more important than the lowest price. Lowest price is not a gamble I'm willing to take.

“Pleased With the Entire Process”

We had Enclosures Unlimited install 2 shower doors/enclosures at a rehab property in Leesburg yesterday, and we are very pleased with the entire process! I was able to easily schedule an estimate in a timely fashion, the estimator showed up promptly when he was supposed to, estimate was turned around very quickly, pricing was reasonable, compared to other estimates received, deadline for install was met (maybe even a day or two earlier than promised), the installers did a great job, and left the jobsite spotless. The last glass installer we used who has a local sounding name (same as a town in LoCo), but operates on the other side of the Bay Bridge was a nightmare, and very dishonest. Suffice it to say, we're thrilled to have found an honest company with Enclosures Unlimited who is so easy to deal with and does great work that is exactly as they promised it would be. Thank you for a job well done!

“Excellent Statement of Work and Execution”

Highly recommended, local shop, excellent statement of work and execution. Installers did a great job and clearly have lots of experience with the seamless glass enclosures.

“Highly Recommend This Company”

I felt very fortunate to have been given this company's information. When a friend was helping put up Christmas Lights he broke a window. I didn't know who to call, so I tried the only person I knew that had a company who installed windows, Hodges Windows & Doors in Falls Church. They didn't do this type of work but told me the best company to call was Enclosures Unlimited. They were quick to reply to my online request and had an estimate to us in no time. I did feel it was necessary to at least get more than one estimate, so I had another company give an estimate. The other company wanted to charge double what we were quoted with Enclosure Unlimited. I called Enclosures Unlimited back right away and told them I wanted the work done. When the workers came they were prompt and arrived within the hour window I was given. They were professional, careful, and had the window replaced in record time. The office staff was also very polite & helpful. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs glass replacement. I took a minute to look over their website and see they offer quite a few services and they will be my go to if I need anything like that in the future.

“The Enclosures Look GREAT”

We contracted with Enclosures Unlimited to replace our shower doors with frameless glass. They responded promptly and professionally. Installation has been completed and the enclosures look GREAT!! I can certainly recommend Enclosures Unlimited.

“On Time, Great Work, Reasonable Price”

Mario and his crew were great to deal with. They showed up on time, did a great job, were very quiet and the price was reasonable. If you're considering replacing our shower glass, Enclosures Unlimited Inc. is the place you want to go. You will be very happy with how nice the finished product looks.

“Professional, Quick, and Efficient”

Mario and team were professional, quick, and efficient while still providing a high quality product. It was less than 2 weeks from the day they took measurements to the day they installed a custom, frameless glass shower door for me. They

“Quick and Professional from Quote to Install”

The Enclosures team was fantastic to work with on the replacement of our broken garage door glass. It was a small job but they handled it quickly and professionally from quote to install. We have used them in the past for a custom shower door and were pleased with the quality of the product and the install. Highly recommend!

“Professional and Easy Every Step of the Way”

Enclosures Unlimited was professional and easy to work with each step of the way. I worked with 3 groups - one to field measure, the office for pricing and scheduling, and the field crew that installed and each of them were great. The guy that field measured patiently showed me all the finish options and helped make recommendations based on my bathroom finishes. The office quickly answered all my questions and was very easy to schedule. The install crew was conscientious of the work environment and was tidy and kind. They left no trace of trash or damage and the installation looks great down to every detail. My old shower doors had a terrible caulk job. Theirs looks so clean and neat. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Enclosures Unlimited.

“The Process Was So Easy”

We had a semi frameless shower installed by Enclosures Unlimited. The process was so easy! Tommy measured and helped us choose the best shower for our space and the the installers were very professional and knowledgeable. They removed the old shower, cleaned the area and then installed a beautiful new shower. We couldn’t be happier.

“5 Star Service from Start to Finish”

We upgraded to frameless glass shower to replace old original gold frame 3 years ago. From measurement to install, Enclosure Unlimited Inc crew were very professional courteous and knowledgeable. We experienced a leak in our shower pan recently and the back office was incredibly patient, courteous and helpful in helping me rule out possible areas of the leak over the phone. Thank you Sara for your patience with the back n forth I caused you, due to my crazy work schedule and thanks for escalating to the manager (Laurie), who's phone diagnosis was spot on correct. It had nothing to do with the glass, it was the contractor who installed our shower pan incorrectly. I highly recommend Enclosures Unlimited Inc to anyone from the accurate measurement, to the clean and tidy installers and the courteous back office employees that never get recognized. Thank you so much for the 5 star service from start to finish and everything in between. Leo

“A Great Job on Our Custom Shower”

They did a great job on the frameless shower door for our custom shower. Their prices fell on the upper end of our budget but they provided free Diamon Fusion coating which made it worth the investment. Turnaround time was 15 days from measure to installation and they offered to come back and fix anything if there were any issues at all.

“They Make Our Company Look Better”

Enclosures has installed multiple shower doors on many of our projects. They are easy to schedule with, great with the timing and proficient installers. I tried a couple other glass installers over the years, but keep coming back to them every time. They are not the cheapest, but they are comparable! At the end of the day, they make our company look better!
